These roles will support one of our Major Government Clients. The client is looking for individuals with hands-on hardware and software support experience.

Title: IT Mid Desktop Support

Locations: Norfolk, VA

Pay: 26.03 USD/HR + 5.09 USD/hr

Contract: 1 year with possible extension

• 2-5 years of relevant IT experience
• Active Secret Clearance
• CompTIA Sec+

• Hands-on software and hardware repair
• Troubleshooting laptops, desktop devices, peripheral equipment, and basic Outlook issues
• Windows Server and Windows 7/8/10 experience highly desired
• Collect, identify, define, and organize detailed user and information technology requirements
• Assist with project planning and work independently with minimal direction
• Contribute to conceptualizing, designing, constructing, testing, and implementing portions of IT solutions
• Assist information engineers in coding, testing, implementation, and documentation projects
• Apply appropriate software development life cycle methodology to IT solutions
• Interact with customers to understand business environment, technical context, and strategic direction
• Define scope, plans, and deliverables for assigned projects; coordinate and collaborate to ensure plans meet customer needs
• Prioritize project plans and deliverables with the customer
• Participate in IT solution implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and conversions
• Apply metrics to monitor performance and key project criteria
• Prepare system documentation
• Establish and maintain security, integrity, and business continuity controls and documents
• Analyze, identify, and resolve business or technical problems using appropriate tools
• Stay current on emerging tools, techniques, and technologies
• Experience in Information Systems (IS) with specialized experience in a discipline such as assembly/integration, data engineering, or legacy evolution
