Principal Technician (Digital Infrastructure)

• Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with 3 years post-related experience. Or a secondary educational qualification with 5 years post-related experience;
• At least 3 years' experience in implementing and managing the underlying technology, software and hardware WAN/LAN components that ensure the smooth functioning of switches, routers, firewalls, network systems, monitoring systems, crypto and security systems;
• Practical experience troubleshooting infrastructure related issues, perform regular maintenance.

• Prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements;
• Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organization;
• Experience from working in a service provisioning organization.

• Following standard approaches and established design patterns to create new designs for simple systems or system components;
• Identifying and resolving minor design issues;
• Identifying alternative design options and seeking guidance when deviating from established design patterns.
