The Role Peraton is searching for a Field Service Engineer to support our customer site at the Cruise Missile Support Activity Atlantic (CMSA LANT) in Norfolk, VA. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be supporting the Theater Mission Planning Center (TMPC) products developed by Peraton. You will be working directly with the customer onsite. Candidate must be team oriented and able to work in a DoD environment.

What you'll do:
* Provide TMPC system administrator support

* Troubleshoot and diagnose system/software issues

* Maintain systems with software and security updates

* Support system upgrades/installations

* Help desk support for TMPC products

* Investigate and report software discrepancies

* Monitor system performance and product assurance Qualifications What you'll need:

* Education:

5 years with BS degree, 3 years with MS, and 0 years with a PhD, or at least 9 years of related work experience in lieu of degree

* Clearance: active TS/SCI required

* Clearance:
Security + required or obtain within 3 months of starting

* Technical knowledge and experience with Microsoft products, including:
Windows 11, Server 2019/2022, Red Hat 7.x/8.x/9.x Operating Systems, SQL;
Power Shell, and Office;
Microsoft SQL Server or SQL Server Management Studio, Active Directory, Red Hat Virtualization

* Strong Windows background - Windows/Red Hat

* General knowledge of networking Desired skills:
* Possess software and/or systems engineering skills

* Operational knowledge of TMPC

* Prior U.S. Navy experience with Tomahawk background SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range Details Target Salary Range: $86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Benefits Statement:
