Overview
Stock Clerk position assigned by the Government to tool cribs, Mega Centers and plant services. Responsible for monitoring, adjusting, maintaining stock levels, replenishing items, and preparing requisitions to refill onsite stock.
Responsibilities- Receive, store, inventory and issue IMRL gear, equipment, materials, supplies, merchandise, foodstuffs, or tools, and compile stock records in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
- Count, sort, or weigh incoming articles to verify receipt against requisitions or invoices.
- Examine stock to verify conformance to specifications.
- Store articles in bins, on floors or shelves by identifying information (e.g., style, size, type).
- Fill orders or issue supplies from stock; perform periodic, special or perpetual inventory using current data systems (e.g., ATICTS/MAXIMO).
- Requisition articles to fill incoming orders.
- Compile reports on stock handling equipment use, inventory adjustments, stock records, spoilage or damage, location changes, and shipment refusals.
- Mark identifying codes, figures, or letters on articles; distribute stock among production workers and keep records of material issued.
- Make adjustments or repairs to articles carried in stock.
- Cut stock to site to fill orders.
- Maintain Commodities and HAZMAT lockers; issue HAZMAT using HMMS or Regional CHRIMP.
- Follow HAZMAT waste procedures per the latest version of FRCSEINST 5090.3.
- Participate in quarterly and yearly HW handlers and spill drill training; may be a member of the HMCC.
- Basic knowledge of Naval Aviation hand tools and measuring devices.
- Past experience in an aviation maintenance organizational tool room is desired.
- Past documented experience handling Hazardous Material.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; professional demeanor and appearance.
- ATICS and MAXIMO data system experience is a plus.
- Experience in a well-structured industrial environment with knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and ISO 9000 principles is desirable.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Applicant must be a US Citizen and able to pass a background check with the Department of Defense.
