Job Description

We are looking for a Motor Winder Technician to help inspect, repair, and rewind electrical equipment. In this role, you will check equipment for damage, perform electrical tests, and record important details about each unit. You’ll remove damaged windings, prepare parts for reuse, and install new coils into motors or generators. Other tasks include connecting and insulating windings, testing repaired equipment to make sure it meets standards, and keeping accurate records.

You will also use specialized tools and work closely with the lead winder or shop manager for guidance when needed.

This work is performed in a shop setting

Work hours are 6:30am-3:30pm Monday-Friday

Skills and Requirements
  • Education Minimum:
    High School Diploma/GED
  • Minimum Relevant

    Experience:

    5+ years min 10+ preferred
  • Must be able to use testing equipment
  • Must be eligible to obtain DBIDs.
  • Must have basic hand tools applicable to your trade with bag or tote.
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, tech manuals and work specifications for various types of machinery and/or electrical systems.
  • Must be able to wear applicable PPE (Hard hat, safety goggles, gloves, steel toes shoes, ear protection)
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Basic computer skills preferred
  • Preferred Minimum:
    Trade School, Apprenticeship, or Higher Education
  • C School
  • Script Course
