Cath Lab Registered Nurse

Overview

Sentara Heart Hospital located in Norfolk, Virginia is hiring a Registered Nurse to work in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab). Up to $15,000 sign‑on bonus for qualified candidates.

Location: Norfolk, VA

Work Shift: Multiple shifts available.

Hours:

7:00 am to 5:30 am, four ten‑hour shifts per week. Call coverage required.

• Provide competent nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes, planning, implementation, coordination, teaching, health promotion, evaluation).
• Float, monitor, scrub, and assist with procedures including diagnostic caths, interventions, CTOs, Afib Watchman device, Impella, IABP, TAVR, Mitra clips, left/right heart caths, biopsies, cardioversions, TEE, loop recorder implants, etc.
• Use critical thinking and professional nursing standards (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence‑based practice, quality, resource utilization, environmental health).

• Education:
  
  Associate’s Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required). Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master’s (MSN) preferred.
• Licensure:
  Virginia RN license (Virginia or Compact/Multi‑State eligible). All direct‑care RN’s must have BLS within 90 days of hire. ACLS (Critical Care/IMCU) within 1 year of hire.
• Experience:
  
  Critical Care, PCU, ER, Cardiac, Step‑down, or Recovery Room experience preferred.
