OverviewSentara Health is seeking an RN for its Observation/Transitional Care Unit. The Obs/Transitional Care Unit is a 9-bed short-stay unit used to care for med‑surg patients who will be discharged within 24-48 hours.
Position StatusFull‑Time Night Shift
Position LocationSentara Norfolk General
Minimum Requirements- RN Licensure – Virginia (Required)
- BSN, RN-Associate's Degree or RN-Diploma (Required)
- Two years of nursing experience (Preferred)
- Previous acute care experience (Preferred)
Assesses, plans, develops, implements, and evaluates plans of care for specific patient populations. Coordinates and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate appropriate and timely patient placement and/or transfer. Coordinates and communicates capacity management plans to nursing units, leadership team, and physicians. Possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards of care as required by patient populations.
