We at Avesta Ketamine and Wellness are passionate about mental health and about bring hope and healing to the patients. We administered Ketamine for Mental Health or Chronic pain since 2016, being one of the first in the Nation and the longest-standing Providers in DC, Maryland and Virginia.

We are looking for a new member of our team; a dynamic Nurse Practitioner to support our new location in Norfolk, Virginia. This is an opportunity to be a valued member of a team where you'll be respected, heard and relied on.

Requirements for the job include a PACU, ICU or ER background, excellent IV skills, a passion for mental health and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing and an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, and be licensed to practice as an NP in Virginia.

Responsibilities
  • All activity for providing infusions of ketamine and wellness infusions across the lifespan including but not limited to treatment, and coordination of care
  • Ensure patient information is accurately, carefully, and completely documented
  • Work and function in a culturally competent capacity with a diverse community of patients
  • Possess and utilize exemplary interpersonal and communication skills with all health team members and support staff, and with our patients.
  • Be able to work independently without consultation of an on-premise Medical Doctor
Requirements
  • Active license and DEA in VA
  • Own malpractice insurance
  • ICU, PACU or ER background
  • Excellent IV skills
  • Effective written, verbal and electronic communication skills
  • Ability to work without direct supervision and practice autonomously
  • Able to collaborate with professional colleagues as necessary to provide superior quality care
  • Great organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Comfortable using computer (laptop) and software (Microsoft Suite, EMR, etc.)
