Kempsville Center for Behavioral Health invites applications for the position of Licensed Practical Nurse for multiple shifts. Located in Norfolk Virginia, Kempsville Center for Behavioral Health is a leading community partner providing A cute, R esidential, and Partial Hospitalization treatment for children and teens exhibiting behavioral and/or mental health concerns. The hospital is dedicated to providing high quality care to children, adolescents and their families.
We provide quality care to children and adolescents in need, using quality, evidence based practice treatments. Founded in 1986, Kempsville Center for Behavioral Health is an 82-bed hospital facility accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC), and licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia and The Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS); the facility is currently expanding, adding additional beds to better serve a greater community.
Reporting to the Registered Nurse Manager, the LPN/LVN is responsible for implementing, and evaluating all aspect of nursing care on an assigned unit for patients (adolescents and teens). The LPN also sets the professional example by leading and mentoring Mental Health Technicians (MHT) and ancillary staff members. Candidates are encouraged to submit their credentials as early as possible.
