Schedule / Job TypeContract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed telemetry and surgical floor
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data, responding appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document all patient care activities accurately using EPIC electronic health records
- Float to other units as needed based on facility staffing needs
- Complete required NIH and stroke education as part of acute care compliance
- Active RN license – Virginia license required to be in hand at time of submittal, or proof of a valid compact license
- BLS certification required – must be through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- ACLS certification required – must be through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- PALS certification required – must be through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- EPIC experience required
- Specialty experience within the last year required
- SSN required at time of submittal
- One supervisory reference required at time of submittal
- Local candidates are welcome and accepted at the same rate
- Prior experience on a telemetry or medical-surgical unit in an acute care setting
- Familiarity with NIH stroke scale assessment and stroke education protocols
- Experience working in a travel or multi-facility healthcare environment
- Opportunity to gain experience on a dynamic telemetry and surgical floor in a supportive acute care environment
- Expected schedule of 4x12-hour night shifts per week, offering a consistent and structured work routine
