Harris Technologies is seeking an experienced Quality Technician to join our Norfolk, VA team.

Essential Functions:

• Conduct quality assurance audits to ensure adherence to procedures, materials, and technical instructions in a manufacturing environment.
• Perform regular inspections of work areas and other quality assessments.
• Attend production meetings for updates on job progress and work with shop leads to address issues.
• Review and finalize records at the conclusion of each work package for storage.
• Maintain equipment and ensure calibration for testing.
• Collaborate with other Quality Assurance Specialists as needed.
• Support quality control initiatives.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience, or 2 years post‑secondary/Associate’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years of related experience.
• 5+ years of quality or technical experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficient in blueprint reading and QA systems.
• Proficient in reading electrical schematics and interpreting electrical/electronic test results.
• Knowledge of measuring tools (calipers, micrometers).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Preferred Additional

Skills:

• NBPI and NACE certifications (preferred).
• J-STD-001 (preferred).
• WHMA/IPC‑A‑620 (preferred).
