Service Manager

Established in March 2012, The Dirty Buffalo brings the taste of Western New York to Hampton Roads! We are a family-owned, locally operated restaurant that focuses on delivering great wings and other Northern comfort food in a casual, family‑friendly environment. We are also growing! • You spend your time walking the floor, table‑touching, coaching, and directing staff.
• You enjoy leading a team, you are patient, and you love to develop and mentor your peers.

• You are self‑disciplined, organized and can stay focused under pressure.
• You are comfortable with computers and technology, or willing to learn.
• You have 2+ years of management experience.

• You’ll be responsible for hiring, employee training and development, managing the floor, opening and closing the restaurant, writing schedules, managing cash and point‑of‑sale system, complying with applicable laws, and most importantly, ensuring our guests receive the legendary service we are known for!
• You’ll need to ensure the restaurant is kept clean and safe at all times, and enforce the systems, policies, procedures, checklists and other brand standards we provide to you uniformly and consistently.
• You’ll need to communicate constantly with your staff, management team and corporate, check emails daily, give and receive direction and ensure information is passed down the chain of command quickly and correctly.

• Stand up and move for most – if not all – of your shift (up to 12 hours)
• Work weekends and holidays
• Lift up to 50 lbs
• Get to work in inclement weather (we are from Buffalo, we don’t close for snow)
• Operate restaurant equipment like grills, dishwashers and slicers.
• Understand and communicate in the predominant language of our guests and employees.
