Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Government Complex for the Norfolk, VA location. This full‑time position will serve and safeguard government clients.

Position Type: Full Time
Pay Rate: $17.25 / Hour
Job Schedule: Daytime (Mon 07:00 AM – 11:00 AM; Tue 06:00 AM – 03:30 PM; Wed 10:00 AM – 08:00 PM; Thur 06:00 AM – 03:30 PM)

• Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, following site‑specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the government location and perimeter to deter unauthorized activities.
• Monitor and report suspicious activity or security concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a visible presence to deter potential incidents.
• Enforce access control procedures and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas.
• Complete detailed, accurate reports on daily activities and incidents.

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or Armed Guard License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screening as required by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
