Security Guard - Access Control Specialist Part-Time

- Sun 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Job Description: As a Security Guard – Access Control Specialist part‑time, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense. Your presence will deter security incidents by monitoring and patrolling designated areas within a dynamic aerospace and defense location. You will provide exceptional customer service, act with integrity, and support a secure environment for all personnel and visitors.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor and control access points to deter unauthorized entry and maintain the integrity of restricted areas.
- Verify identification and credentials of personnel and visitors entering the premises, following established protocols.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and problem‑solving, escalating issues when necessary.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to deter potential security concerns.
- Document and report security‑related incidents, unusual activity, and/or breaches of policy to the appropriate Allied Universal contacts and site management.
- Maintain a visible presence to deter unwanted activity and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
Minimum Requirements:
- A guard card or license (preferred).
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation and drug screen, as required by law.
- Criminal history review will be conducted in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment, depending on state/local regulations.
- A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.
