Diesel Shaft Mechanic - Evening Shift; Journeyman
National Steel and Shipbuilding Com in Norfolk, VA seeks five Diesel Shaft Mechanics J1–J4 for a 3 pm–11 pm shift. Work in the Inside Machine department on ships, performing diesel engine repair and shaft alignment tasks on site to exacting standards.
Candidates should have a High School diploma or equivalent with about five years of related experience, plus main shafting experience. NAVSEA OSHA knowledge and crew leadership abilities are a plus.
