A prominent heavy manufacturing facility located in the vicinity of Charleston, South Carolina, is seeking a skilled Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to oversee and manage the plant's power and sensor infrastructure.

We offer support for those needing to relocate.

Core Responsibilities
  • Ensure the reliability of 12.5KV high voltage systems and 120 VDC control setups through regular maintenance and diagnostic work.
  • Perform upkeep and fault-finding on 480 VAC distribution networks and associated motor starter circuitry.
  • Support the continuous operation of 120 VAC and low voltage AC/DC motor control systems.
  • Optimize plant performance by maintaining, programming, and troubleshooting AC and DC variable frequency drives.
  • Help ensure total plant uptime by performing the installation, calibration, repair, and inspection of all necessary electronic and instrumentation hardware.
  • Maintain and diagnose issues with overhead crane systems, specifically those utilizing wound rotor motors and static stepless controls.
Professional Qualifications

We strongly encourage applications from current or former US military personnel who possess a background in Electrical and Instrumentation work, as this position is available to be filled immediately.

Candidates must possess a multi-year history of working within heavy industrial settings, including but not limited to paper production, primary metals, cement manufacturing, bottling, or textile facilities. A completed craft training program focused on industrial electricity is required, along with a working knowledge of IT databases and the Microsoft Office suite.

  • Apply extensive industrial electrical experience.
  • Manage and maintain industrial electrical systems.
  • Improve equipment reliability through expert diagnostics of heavy electrical systems.
  • Streamline maintenance workflows using advanced equipment diagnostics and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Utilize IT infrastructure including networks, servers, telecom, and cloud systems.
