The Cloud Operations Resilience Engineering (CORE) Technology division is responsible for enabling and evolving our foundational cloud infrastructure layer, including observability, connectivity, resilience, and availability.

• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices and full stack systems to create solutions that help meet regulatory needs.
• Stay on top of tech trends, experiment with new technologies, participate in internal and external technology communities, mentor others, and occasionally code or evaluate code.
• Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud‑based solutions that empower millions of Americans.
• Utilize programming languages such as JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, Type Script, SQL, Python, and Go, open‑source RDBMS and No
  
  SQL databases, container orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of AWS tools and services.

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience (internship experience does not apply).
• At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).

• Master’s Degree.
• 9+ years of experience in at least one of the following:
  JavaScript, Java, Type Script, SQL, Python, or Go.
• 4+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service.
• 4+ years of experience in open‑source frameworks.
• 1+ years of people management experience.
• 2+ years of experience in Agile practices.

Minimum and maximum annual salaries for this role are listed below by location. Salaries are solely for candidates hired to perform work within those locations.

• Chicago, IL: $204,900 – $233,800
• McLean, VA: $225,400 – $257,200
• Richmond, VA: $204,900 – $233,800
• Riverwoods, IL: $204,900 – $233,800

This role is also eligible for performance‑based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long‑term incentives.
