About Hydromax USA

We’re seeking talented individuals to help us grow in the rapidly expanding utility industry. Since 2003, we’ve led the way in advanced field services and solutions, empowering utilities to maximize their infrastructure investments. Our mission is to enhance the safety, sustainability, and reliability of the nation’s energy assets and natural resources. Position Summary

As a Crossbore Technician you will assist with the operation of advanced CCTV camera systems and related field equipment used to detect and prevent underground utility crossbores. This vital work helps ensure the safety of our communities and the integrity of essential infrastructure. You will work under the guidance of experienced field personnel and report directly to the Field Operations Manager.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on experience, develop specialized technical skills, and grow within a company that values safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Regional & Work Environment Considerations

This role involves working along busy streets, highways, and residential roads, often in high‑traffic areas. Crews must follow strict safety protocols and be aware of roadside hazards. Some sites may include embankments, uneven terrain, or wet conditions. Expect outdoor challenges and changing weather conditions. This means adapting to high heat, humidity, sudden storms, and cold temperatures.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Detect cross‑bored wastewater lines and collect field data through utilizing ESRI GPS software during inspections
  • Establish a safe work zone including positioning safety items such as traffic cones and signs
  • Prepare the CCTV Robot and equipment under the direction of the Operator while cleaning and maintaining equipment
  • Dispatch the tractor unit securely into the pipe utilizing a crane or hook
  • Mark locations on the job site with utility marking paint
Job Qualifications and Skills
  • Ability to pass a thorough background check and pre‑employment drug screen required as a condition of employment.
  • Must be able to walk on varied terrain, work in various weather conditions and confined spaces, bend, squat and lift/carry up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to travel 2 to 3 weeks at a time as needed, work weekends and some nights. Travel could be upwards of 80% of the time based on project locations.
  • Ability to possess or obtain Confined Space Training certifications.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work outdoors while using ATV equipment. Some of our jobs require us to go off‑roading.
  • Understand, speak, read, and write English.
Driver Qualifications

Because all field personnel may be required to operate company or DOT‑regulated vehicles at any time, maintaining driver eligibility is mandatory. A valid driver’s license and obtaining a medical clearance to drive DOT‑regulated vehicles (DOT Medical Certification) is considered an essential function of employment in field operations. Employees must obtain this medical certification within 90 days of hire and maintain it as a condition of continued employment.

Failure to obtain or maintain driver eligibility or medical clearance may affect employment status and/or eligibility for certain job assignments, unless given an Human Resources accommodation.
