Base pay range: $20.00/hr – $25.00/hr.

• Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for a Material Handler in our Norfolk, Virginia location who will be a key support in performing warehouse operations.

• Accepts and signs for deliveries from freight carriers for inbound shipments.
• Loads and unloads delivery trucks from inbound and outbound freight carriers.
• Stocks equipment within the Depot warehouse utilizing pallet jacks, order pickers, forklifts, etc.
• Ensures all equipment is stocked and stored in appropriate locations in the Warehouse.
• Processes inbound and outbound Out to Vendors (OTV) repair request.
• Provides shipment tracking details to the UNITS and PMO Office.
• Licensed order picker and forklift operator.
• Manages DRMO disposition process.
• Performs Physical Inventory and Cycle Count Audits.
• Prepares large orders for Shipping.
• Updates the ticketing system with pertinent information for CDRL reporting.
• Assists with PMI testing.
• Augments the Shipping and Receiving Clerk and Warehouse Specialists for surges or absences.
• Knowledgeable and understands DCMA standards for Government property management and storage.

• High School graduate.
• Working knowledge and understanding of DCMA standards for government property management.
• Familiar with OSHA standards for safety and hazards.
• At least 3 years of experience in warehouse operations.
• Licensed order picker and forklift operator.

• Familiarity with military organizations, protocols, procedures, and processes, and working knowledge of addressing issues/concerns using the chain-of-command is preferred.
• Air Force experience preferred.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance to access military facilities, naval shipyards, private shipyards, and naval installations.

• Minimum travel required: 0% – 25%.

• Repetitive motion, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, picking, grasping, talking, hearing, and visual acuity (depth perception).
• Subject to outside environmental conditions (extreme cold/heat), noise, vibration, hazards, atmospheric conditions (affect the respiratory system), frequently working in close quarters and/or functioning in narrow aisles or passageways (areas that could cause claustrophobia).
• Protective clothing or equipment and face shields or goggles shall be worn when welding, cutting, or working with molten metal.
