Role Summary

The Lead L&D Program Manager, EHS&S is the key learning partner for environmental health, safety, and sustainability initiatives across our Normal, IL manufacturing plant. You'll drive scalable, high‑impact training programs that improve frontline safety behaviors, enhance compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations, and embed a proactive safety culture. This role blends strategic program design with hands‑on facilitation, partnering closely with shop leadership and EHS&S subject‑matter experts to ensure safety excellence across Battery, Plastics, Paint, GA, and beyond.

Responsibilities Program Strategy & Execution
  • Own the EHS&S training strategy across all shop floors; develop scalable, high‑impact programs that address plant‑specific risks.
  • Conduct gap analyses and stakeholder interviews to identify safety training priorities and KPIs.
  • Partner with EHS&S, Operations, and Enterprise L&D to ensure alignment, coordination, and impact.
Learning Design & Delivery
  • Design and deploy digital and live training experiences using adult learning theory.
  • Author e‑learning modules, simulations, and safety briefings using Articulate Rise, Camtasia, and Synthesia.
  • Deliver New Hire Orientation safety content and facilitate key in‑person sessions.
  • Certify and manage a bench of internal safety trainers across shifts.
Measurement & Compliance
  • Track compliance across OSHA‑mandated programs and internal training protocols.
  • Manage LMS assignments and completions (RLN platform) in coordination with Enterprise L&D.
  • Monitor feedback, issue evaluations, and iterate for effectiveness and engagement.
Qualifications Required
  • 5+ years in EHS&S and L&D roles in a manufacturing environment
  • Deep understanding of OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory frameworks
  • Strong technical knowledge of plant processes and safety risks
  • Proficiency in instructional design, facilitation, and learning evaluation
  • Advanced project management and stakeholder influence skills
  • Familiarity with LMS systems and course authoring tools
Preferred
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing environments
  • Multilingual (Spanish/French)
  • Safety certifications (e.g., OSHA 30, CSP, CHST)
  • Strong command of Google Suite, AI video tools, and Articulate 360
Pay Disclosure

Salary Range for Normal, IL-based applicants: $125,800 – $157,200 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.
