Senior Project Manager - BAS​/HVAC Controls

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead building automation and HVAC controls projects from planning through commissioning and closeout. This position requires strong BAS/HVAC controls knowledge, proven project leadership, and a track record of managing project execution, financial performance, and customer relationships.

• Lead BAS/HVAC controls projects from initial planning through installation, commissioning, customer turnover, and closeout.
• Manage project budgets, profitability, cash flow, cost forecasts, billings, collections, and financial reporting.
• Review contracts, define project scope, manage change orders, negotiate subcontract agreements, and pursue additional project revenue.
• Develop and manage project schedules, procurement plans, equipment deliveries, labor resources, and subcontractor coordination.
• Lead internal project teams, field personnel, vendors, and subcontractors to achieve project objectives.
• Monitor project performance, identify risks, resolve issues, and develop recovery plans when necessary.
• Review project specifications, MEP drawings, and contract requirements to ensure quality, safety, and code compliance.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, general contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.

• Approximately 8–10+ years of BAS, HVAC controls, or building automation industry experience, including substantial project management responsibility.
• Demonstrated success managing BAS/HVAC controls projects through completion.
• Strong understanding of building automation, HVAC systems, mechanical construction, and MEP project coordination.
• Experience with project budgets, financial reporting, contracts, change orders, procurement, and subcontractor management.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and contractual requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent industry experience considered.
