Overview

Title: Undergraduate Teaching Assistant.
Employee Classification: Student Help Regular.
Division Name: Academic Affairs.
Department: Geography, Geology, and the Environment. This is a student position for the Department of Geography, Geology, and the Environment, located in Felmley Hall.

Responsibilities
  • Attending each lecture.
  • Taking attendance.
  • Maintaining student records.
  • Familiarity with the class material.
  • Holding office hours and student review sessions.
  • Teaching small groups or individuals who need additional help or guidance.
  • Proctoring exams.
  • Grading tests, papers, and assignments.
  • Recording and maintaining grades.
  • Lecturing or making presentations.
  • Leading class discussion or break-out groups.
  • Supervising group activities.
  • Students currently taking the class are not eligible for this position.

Pay Rate

$15.00/hour

Work Hours

Work hours will be determined by the faculty member and the class time.

    This position is subject to a criminal background investigation and if applicable, an employment history review, based on University Policy 3.1.30 and any offer of employment is contingent upon you passing a satisfactory criminal background investigation and/or an employment history review.
