Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site Underwriter role based in Normal, IL. The Underwriter will assess and evaluate risks associated with insurance applications and determine appropriate coverage terms and pricing. Daily responsibilities will include analyzing data, reviewing applications, verifying client information, and making informed decisions regarding risk acceptance. Coordination with internal teams, as well as communication with clients or agents, will also be key aspects of this role.
Qualifications- Analytical and Decision-Making
Skills:
Ability to analyze risk factors, interpret data, and make sound underwriting decisions. - Attention to Detail and Accuracy:
Strong capability to review applications and verify client information with precision. - Communication and Interpersonal
Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective client and team interaction. - Experience with Risk Management or Financial Analysis:
Familiarity with underwriting principles and relevant tools or software is a plus. - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Proven time-management and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
