Expected pay for this position is $27.26 - $35.67/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills, and internal equity. This is an hourly position.
OverviewThis is a PRN position.
Position SummaryThe Diagnostic Radiology Technologist I performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Responsible for performing technical procedures that may require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. They perform patient intake by collecting medical history and must be able to answer patient questions regarding the imaging procedure. They follow specific instructions from providers on imaging areas and guide patients through the process safely and comfortably.
They operate imaging equipment proficiently, understand human anatomy and physiology, demonstrate knowledge of proper imaging techniques across patient populations, and may confer with providers on imaging results to determine if additional images are needed.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a formal Radiography program with associated certificate or degree.
- ARRT Registration required at hire or within 2 years of hire after sitting for registration within 6 months of hire.
- American Heart Association (BLS).
- Experience with routine diagnostic procedures in General Radiology.
- Experience in customer service/patient experience settings.
- Care Coordination/Transitions, Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), or Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ).
