American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an inpatient/swing bed unit, open to new graduates with an Illinois PT license and BLS certification.
Requirements- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy required
- Illinois Physical Therapist (PT) License required if applicable
- BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- New graduates considered
- Experience with orthopedic and neurologic condition evaluation
- Proficiency in objective testing including range of motion, strength, and functional task performance
- Experience with therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, interferential, and iontophoresis
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Inpatient and swing bed unit at a therapy department
- Schedule:
Tuesday through Saturday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, 40 hours per week - Weekend and holiday coverage limited to Saturdays
- No floating requirements
- Utilizes therapy EMR for daily documentation and charging
- Performs patient examinations, screenings, and evaluations to determine physical therapy diagnoses and treatment plans
- Designs and adjusts plans of care based on patient goals, response, and clinical evidence
- Educates patients, families, caregivers, and students using effective teaching methods
- Applies taping techniques for stabilization, facilitation, or inhibition of movement
- Communicates with referring providers regarding patient progress and treatment recommendations
- May supervise students and support personnel in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines
- Completes documentation in compliance with facility clinical process policies
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Radius rule of 50 miles applies; local candidates within this radius are not eligible
