PositionMaintenance Mechanic 2
Shift: 2nd Shift (M-Th 3p-1a)
Location:
Linden Road
- Supports the packaging lines by making routine and non-routine adjustments that insures a high-quality product.
- Collaborate with other departments and other Maintenance Mechanics to obtain information or experience to keep lines running at an efficient rate.
- Perform preventive maintenance, changeovers, repairs, and running adjustments.
- Systematically gather information from a variety of sources, analyze data, identify implications, generate viable solutions, and evaluate consequences of alternatives.
- Provide guidance to others by responding to questions, observing work activity, and providing on-the-job training.
- Use a variety of hand tools and power tools to perform duties.
- Detect faulty operations or defective material and report to the proper personnel.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and services.
- This position may require overtime and/or weekend work.
- May require use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR).
- Adhere to PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, rules.
- Attend Tier I Daily Directional Setting (DDS) meetings and provide feedback when outages occur from the centerline document.
- Perform Single Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED) activities on packaging lines and execute initiatives related to OPEX objectives.
- Analyze equipment failures to improve overall reliability while maintaining productivity.
- Update setup documentation to ensure settings are current and accurate; coordinate launches or validations of products with business units and scheduling.
- Audit and maintain a high level of 5S in the facility to support a safe, organized, high-performing workplace.
- Document and drive actions for the respected value stream; audit the centerline document system for sustainability and productivity.
- Respond promptly to safety, quality, or downtime issues following escalation protocols.

Required:
- Skills testing requirements met at approved grade level for position.
- At least 2-3 years of applicable maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, or 2-year technical school.
- Basic Mathematical Skills

ability to perform basic computer tasks and operate common programs. - Minimum Professional Proficiency: ability to participate effectively in conversations and read standard items addressed to general readers.
- High Reasoning: ability to solve practical problems and interpret various instructions and data.

- Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team.
- Professional demeanor and attention to detail.
- Drive for results and packaging experience.
For Illinois residents: the hiring rate for this position is $24.58-$29.19 plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final offer amounts depend on experience, education, credentials, geography, and subject matter expertise.
