American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab/Special Procedures position requiring an active IL RN license, ACLS/BLS certification, and EPIC charting experience.

• Works in the Cardiac Cath/Special Procedures unit
• Cares for acute and chronically ill cardiac and pulmonary patients
• Day shift schedule, 7:30 AM-6:00 PM, 4 days per week, 40 hours weekly
• On-call responsibilities every 3rd weekend plus 4-8 additional weekdays per month
• Weekend shifts limited to call rotation only
• Uses EPIC EMR for documentation

• Active IL RN license required (temporary license accepted)
• Associate's degree in Nursing or nursing diploma required; BSN preferred
• Current BLS-AHA and ACLS-AHA certifications required
• Minimum one year of relevant nursing experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Skilled in IV venipuncture, blood administration, and pain management
• Strong conflict management and professional communication skills

• Performs patient assessments, develops and implements individualized plans of care, and evaluates ongoing patient status
• Prepares patients for procedures, administers medications, and monitors lab results
• Delegates tasks appropriately with proper follow-up
• Collaborates with the healthcare team and provides constructive feedback to peers
• Holiday coverage required as part of call rotation, including one summer and one winter holiday
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates are not accepted
