Position: Lead Event Specialist Part Time - 4815

Overview
The Associate is responsible for completing in‑store food and non‑food demonstrations, acquiring and maintaining knowledge of products, serving and demonstrating to consumers, and selling products in a professional manner. The role also includes management of event equipment, maintaining a professional appearance, and assisting with execution of events in retail stores.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain event equipment and supplies, ensuring they are clean and secured in the agreed‑upon backroom area.
  • Communicate with store management about upcoming and past events when the Supervisor is absent.
  • Act as the point person for all events in the store, assisting other Event Specialists with kits, materials, and tools.
  • Provide leadership and knowledge to the team.
  • Gain sufficient knowledge of the represented products.
  • Proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell products to consumers in a positive manner.
  • Perform all responsibilities assigned to the demo program.
  • Communicate the features and benefits of the product effectively.
  • Prepare and serve food samples (e.g., raw meats, produce, eggs) following food safety guidelines.
  • Use small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives to prepare food samples.
  • Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals.
  • Keep a professional appearance in line with job requirements.
  • Set up and prepare the event table for execution.
  • Complete all work assigned.
  • Assist with client visit preparation and complete audit corrections.
  • Build rapport with store personnel to meet company and client objectives.
  • Complete expense reports per Company Policy.
  • Submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
  • Take digital photos of the perfect table setup to document success stories for clients.
Qualifications
  • Education / Experience – High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Computer Skills – Proficient use of a personal computer and mobile device with internal systems and applications.
  • Certificates / Licenses – Food Safety Professional Certification and local food handlers permit if required.
  • Ability to handle and prepare food safely, including use of knives, ovens, fryers, and microwaves.
  • Physical stamina for standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs, and handling a wheeled demonstration cart.
Physical Demands

The employee will regularly lift and carry up to 25 lbs (occasionally up to 50 lbs), stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach overhead, talk and hear, read instructions, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb a 6‑ft ladder, balance, push and pull a fully laden cart, and prepare foods using raw products and cooking utensils. Contact with cleaning supplies is also required.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Act as the point of contact when the Supervisor is absent.

Working Conditions

Retail store environment with limited travel.

Physical Appearance

Maintain a professional appearance and proper grooming in accordance with the retailer’s dress code.

Language Skills

English is the primary language; bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity.
