As a Security Officer - Auto Patrol Support Staff in Normal, IL
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto. This part‑time position allows you to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As a Patrol Officer, you will monitor and patrol assigned automotive locations to deter security‑related incidents and maintain a welcoming environment. This driving post requires routine patrols, visibility, and outstanding customer service.

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter.
• Monitor entry and exit points to deter unauthorized access and report suspicious activity.
• Document and report all security‑related incidents, hazards, and maintenance concerns according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
• Collaborate with site personnel and/or law enforcement as directed during emergencies or incidents.
• Remain alert and observant while on duty, adapting to varying working environments and conditions at the location.

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A current guard card or license is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
