As a Security Officer - Auto Patrol Full Time in Normal, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol locations within the automotive industry, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. This is a driving post, so a valid driver’s license is required.

You will interact with visitors and staff, deliver exceptional customer service, and uphold our values of integrity, teamwork, and innovation while contributing to a positive environment.

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help deter unwanted activity.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the automotive facility and its perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Observe and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual activity to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with team members and site management to support security-related operations and maintain a visible presence throughout the location.

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
