Job SummaryUnder direct supervision of the Refrigeration Mechanic Foreman, performs skilled work in the Refrigeration Mechanic trades.

Salary Rate / Pay Rate$50.85 per hour
Required Qualifications- Journeyman Pipefitter and certified welder, with experience in air-and water-cooled chillers.
- Ability to read 2" gauges on various equipment.
- Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing. Communications required in person, by telephone, by email and over campus radio system.
- Ability to comprehend verbal and written instructions and written materials.
- Possess mathematical skills to calculate material lists and pricing.
- Knowledge sufficient in techniques and uses of various tools associated with Heating Plant duties.

The Civil Service examination for this classification is based on your application materials and responses to the supplemental questions. No participation other than submission of applicant materials is required from applicants that qualify to take the exam. If you meet the minimum required qualifications for this position, you will receive a score calculated based on your education and experience, and your name will be placed on the active employment register by exam score.
