School Bus Driver – Normal, IL

First Student is hiring part‑time School Bus Drivers to serve our students in Normal, IL. This role includes early‑morning pre‑school pickup and after‑school drop‑off, with a split shift and free hours in between.

• A split shift: an early morning before‑school pickup and an afternoon drop‑off.
• A guaranteed shift of hours per school day with no mandatory nights or weekends unless desired.
• Additional hours via trips and charters when available.

• $23.00 – $27.40 per hour starting wage (based on experience).
• $500 referral bonus*.
• Commercial Learner’s Permit (CLP) bonus: $750 for CLP within 7 days of completing the Virtual CLP class, $250 for CLP within 14 days.
• Paid CDL training.
• Paid holidays.
• Charter route opportunities and child ride‑along program.
• Medical, dental, and vision benefits plus a 401(k) retirement savings plan (benefits may vary by location or CBA).
• No nights or weekends.

• Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years.
• At least 21 years old.
• No college degree or high school diploma required; military experience, returning to workforce, 2nd job seekers, and retirees are encouraged to apply.
• Experience as a bus driver is not required;
  First Student provides industry‑leading training.
