Valiant Partners is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Account Manager III to join our growing finance team. The Account Manager III (may also be referred to as account manager) will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful analysis to support the companies and clients’ financial health. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as work independently.
The role will also include backing up payroll when required.
- Prepare and review financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Review lower-level Account Managers accounts and report to upper management any errors or additional findings.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and assist in preparing tax filings, including sales tax and other required filings.
- Assist in training fellow staff members and serve as the first point of contact for lower-level Account Managers to field questions.
- Monitor and report to upper management on improvements made or still needed during the training period of new staff members.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy in accounting and financial processes and lead the implementation of enhancements.
- Generate financial analyses and reports as requested by management to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Complete additional work tasks not outlined in the job description with the expectation of timely completion according to management priority.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; maintain a polished and professional demeanor in all client and colleague interactions.
- Exhibit strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively; anticipate client needs and adjust priorities accordingly.
- Ensure accuracy in task execution; conduct thorough reviews of financial data and other materials.
- Use office software, accounting platforms, and communication tools efficiently (e.g., Microsoft Office, Quick Books, or similar tools).
- Handle sensitive financial and personal information with the utmost confidentiality and integrity; respond quickly to changes in priorities or urgent requests.
- Be proactive in finding solutions to challenges or unexpected issues.
- Consistently meet deadlines and follow through on assigned responsibilities; be available during peak periods, such as tax season, for extended hours if necessary.
