Job Description

The student employee will assist staff/faculty in supervision and training of the Sooner Sports Pad and Gameday U production crews. The student will perform as Sooner Sports Pad or Gameday U Director, Technical Director, Audio, Graphics as needed. The student may also assist with studio lighting tasks and live shot station setup or coordination related to the production of the Sooner Sports Pad or Gameday U.

The student will also assist staff/faculty in training students in field production and post-production. Sooner Sports Pad and Gameday U are student-produced television broadcasts that are live out of Gaylord College airing on various platforms. Other related duties as assigned.

Required Education

Must be currently enrolled in the Spring Term as a student at the University of Oklahoma. Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.

• Must attach Spring 2026 class schedule
• Completion of JMC 3011 (OU Nightly section, Sooner Sports Pad section, or Gameday U section) or volunteer experience on the TV News Crew, TV Sports Crew, or Gameday U Crew for at least one semester

• Student classification be Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or non-graduating Senior
• Journalism or Creative Media Production major enrolled as a full-time student in good standing
