OU IT is currently hiring for the position of Campus Operator. This position transfers inbound calls for the Norman and OKC campuses. Shifts take place between 8am-5pm CST, Monday through Friday. This position requires approximately 4-6 hours of paid training and does not involve providing IT support to callers.

• Answer and transfer calls received to the Norman/OKC main phone lines and operator lines
• Maintain a professional approach to all calls and represent OU IT in a professional manner
• Support additional university initiatives/offices with technical assistance and/or phone support

Required Education
:
Must be currently enrolled in the Spring 2026 Term as a student at the University of Oklahoma. Hiring is contingent upon verification of current student status.

Skills
:

• Must have ability to speak, read and write clear, concise English
• Must be able to work in a collaborative/team environment
• Must have a strong work ethic
• Must have familiarity with Windows OS
• Must effectively problem solve, seeking out and finding appropriate solutions

Department Preferences
:

• Customer service experience is preferred
• Ability to attend training beginning January 5 is preferred
• Experience working in a technical environment is preferred
