Job Description: As a Senior Project Architect, you will lead the design, coordination, and execution of architectural projects from concept through completion. This licensed role requires significant experience managing the design and technical quality of large, complex projects while maintaining alignment with client goals, budgets, and schedules. You will oversee multiple projects, guide multi-tiered teams, and work closely with clients and consultants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design process from conceptual design through construction completion, ensuring alignment with client goals, budget, and schedule.
  • Supervise and mentor project teams of 3+ staff per project.
  • Maintain effective communication and foster long-term client relationships.
  • Collaborate directly with clients to interpret their goals and translate them into innovative design solutions.
  • Develop and present design proposals and concepts as needed to showcase solutions and progress.
  • Prepare and review construction documents, drawings, specifications, and other deliverables.
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with local standards and design integrity.
  • Review contractors pay applications and change orders.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure quality standards.
  • Oversee and manage multiple projects concurrently, including attending regular meetings with associated parties.
  • Uphold and promote CWA Group’s standards for design, documentation, and client service across all assigned projects.
  • Actively contribute to and assist company leadership in cultivating positive professional growth within the firm.
Role Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Architecture from an accredited program.
  • Active architectural license in the state of Oklahoma (or eligibility for reciprocity).
  • Minimum 8–12 years minimum of professional experience in architectural practice.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and completing multiple large-scale projects (>50,000 SF).
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and visualization software (Sketch Up, Adobe Creative Suite, Lumion, etc.).
  • Deep understanding of building systems, codes, detailing, and construction administration.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead teams, coordinate across disciplines, and manage deadlines effectively.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience mentoring mid-level and junior staff, including delegating tasks and reviewing work for quality and completeness.
  • Experience with educational and public-sector architecture.
  • Familiarity with project management or construction administration platforms (Pro Core).
  • LEED accreditation or demonstrated experience with sustainable design practices.
