A student academic tutor will be asked and expected to tutor student‑athletes in various courses. All tutoring will take place in the McClendon Center for Intercollegiate Athletics and will range based on student‑athlete need and tutor availability. Tutoring sessions will include 1‑3 student‑athletes and are expected to last 45 minutes.
Job Requirements- Required
Education:
Must be currently enrolled in the Spring 2026 term as a student at the University of Oklahoma. Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status. - Must attach Spring 2026 OU class schedule.
- Must have earned a B or higher in the specific course or have been awarded a degree in that area.
- Must be capable of tutoring the courses specified.
- Must be able to demonstrate ability to effectively communicate course material while engaging with student‑athletes in a positive manner.
- Must be willing and able to communicate and build relationships with various groups of students.
- Must be willing and able to gain and maintain working knowledge of university, SEC, and NCAA rules and regulations.
- Must be willing and able to adhere to standards of conduct for Athletics Academics Tutorial Staff.
- Experience working as a tutor for undergraduate or graduate students.
- Experience working with various groups of students.
- Working knowledge of university, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to communicate verbally, hear, and see including color, depth perception and clarity.
