Responsibilities

The ICD Laboratory Preschool is looking for part‑time teacher aides.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist in the classroom where needed.
• Engage in high‑quality interaction with children and families.
• Promote children’s learning and development.
• Support the needs of children, families, and other staff.
• Help maintain classroom ratio.
• Assist in creating a calm and positive learning environment.
• Provide office assistance and aid with daily school operations (e.g., food preparation, giving teachers breaks, setting up classroom learning environments, laundry, cleaning).

The hours may vary but will likely be either a morning or afternoon shift, Monday through Friday. This position is for the fall and spring OU academic calendars. Background & Compliance

Must pass a comprehensive post‑offer, pre‑employment criminal and fingerprint background check, and maintain a continued successful status verified by periodic future background checks.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in the Spring 2026 term as a student at the University of Oklahoma.
• Must attach a Spring 2026 ONE class schedule.

Certifications

• No certification required at hiring.
• After hire, worker will need Infant & Child CPR/First Aid, Infant Safe Sleep Training, Food Preparation, and Diapering Training.

Physical Requirements

• Supervise a classroom of children.
• Lift and carry 50 pounds.
• Bend, kneel, get up and down from floor or sitting position.
• Physical work is 70% of the job.
• May involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as hot or cold weather, loud noises, or outdoor elements (dirt, water, insects).

Supervision

No supervisory duties.
