Class Schedule
The ICD Laboratory Preschool is looking for part‑time teacher aides.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist in the classroom where needed.
- Engage in high‑quality interaction with children and families.
- Promote children’s learning and development.
- Support the needs of children, families, and other staff.
- Help maintain classroom ratio.
- Assist in creating a calm and positive learning environment.
- Provide office assistance and aid with daily school operations (e.g., food preparation, giving teachers breaks, setting up classroom learning environments, laundry, cleaning).
Must pass a comprehensive post‑offer, pre‑employment criminal and fingerprint background check, and maintain a continued successful status verified by periodic future background checks.
Qualifications- Must be currently enrolled in the Spring 2026 term as a student at the University of Oklahoma.
- Must attach a Spring 2026 ONE class schedule.
- Provide a supportive and caring environment for children.
- Offer activities that encourage healthy growth.
- Child supervision skills.
- Understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
- Understand and follow safety procedures.
- Communicate effectively.
- Enjoy working with children and teachers.
- Open to constructive feedback.
- Work collaboratively with others.
- Responsibly show up for designated work hours.
- No certification required at hiring.
- After hire, worker will need Infant & Child CPR/First Aid, Infant Safe Sleep Training, Food Preparation, and Diapering Training.
- Supervise a classroom of children.
- Lift and carry 50 pounds.
- Bend, kneel, get up and down from floor or sitting position.
- Physical work is 70% of the job.
- May involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as hot or cold weather, loud noises, or outdoor elements (dirt, water, insects).
- Preferred area of study:
Education, Psychology, Social Work, Nursing or Medical Field, Other.
No supervisory duties.
