Position: Norman Carter School - Principal - Permanent Full-Time - JB25260054

We are hiring for a Principal at Norman Carter Elementary School in Wilkie, SK. This is a Permanent Full-Time position commencing at the start of the  school year.

Candidates will be strong at building relationships with staff, students and their families and our community. Individuals will believe in the importance of having trauma-informed classrooms. Honouring Indigenous teachings and diversity to promote a culture of respect is important. Leadership experience around differentiation and interventions to meet the needs of each individual would be considered an asset. Living Sky School Division believes that school-based administrators play key roles in student success.

It will be important for candidates to be able to:

  • Lead Learning (Instructional Leadership),
  • Set Vision and Provide Direction,
  • Secure Caring and Respectful Schools,
  • Develop People and Build Relationships,
  • Strengthen the Educational Community (through working with parents and other agencies), and
  • Embrace a culture of change improvement for leading edge results

Applicants are required to possess a Master’s Degree in Education or be committed to completing post-graduate studies in an applicable field. Additionally, they must be eligible for or possess a valid Saskatchewan Teaching Certificate.
