Job DescriptionThe Michael
F. Price College of Business at the University of Oklahoma is seeking a detail-oriented, student-centered professional to serve as the Scholarship Coordinator. Each year, the College administers a wide range of scholarship funds that directly impact student success, requiring strong organization, accuracy, and collaborative communication. The Scholarship Coordinator works closely with college divisions, the OU Scholarship Office, and development partners to ensure a smooth, transparent, and student-focused scholarship process.
By managing key workflows, supporting donor stewardship, and assisting students seeking financial support, this position plays a vital role in maintaining a high-quality scholarship experience for students and stakeholders.
- Assist with providing guidance on scholarship rubrics to all Price College divisions for selections on their scholarships.
- Serve as liaison between Price College and the OU Scholarship Office on scholarship selections, funding inquiries, scholarship requests, scholarship disbursements, and any processing issues.
- Organize preparations for the College-Wide Scholarship Selection Committee.
- Pull and organize student data from the CASH application system.
- Collect internal student lists and information for specific scholarship eligibility.
- Import all gathered information into Access, the database used for the scholarship selection meeting.
- Coordinate selection processes, networking opportunities, and developmental programming for college-level scholarship initiatives.
- Communicate by e‑mail with students seeking scholarship assistance and provide guidance on additional resources.
- Compile student impact statements, thank‑you messages, and reflections for donor communications.
- Coordinate with students to obtain photos or other materials for donor reports.
- Collaborate with development or advancement staff to ensure all reporting pieces match donor intent and university standards.
Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree AND:
- 12 months experience in student programming, student services, or closely related experience.
Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree for a total of 60 months experience.
Skills- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Composition and proofreading skills.
- Computer skills, including proficiency in navigating and maintaining databases.
- Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information.
- Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong rapport building with students, faculty, and staff.
- Ability to read and interpret policy as well as State and Federal regulations.
