Job Description - Experiential Learning Coordinator (252282)
Full-time – Onsite 8am-5pm. Salary $40,000-$43,700. Benefits provided. Resume and cover letter required.
OverviewThe Experiential Learning (EL) Coordinator manages the logistics and promotion of internships, fellowships, and related experiences primarily through EL platforms while collaborating closely with campus partners. This role serves as a resource for students, faculty, and employers, supporting engagement with EL programs. They contribute to development, assessment, and promotion of EL resources and events to align with Career Center and University goals.
Responsibilities- Review and approve experiential learning opportunities to ensure compliance with institutional guidelines.
- Audit student worker positions listed in Handshake and assess eligibility for internship conversion.
- Serve as primary contact for employer and stakeholder inquiries regarding internship logistics.
- Collaborate with departments across campus to collect, evaluate, and promote experiential learning opportunities aligned with students’ academic and professional goals.
- Work with registered student organizations to guide students in articulating how their work contributes to career readiness and experiential learning.
- Audit and evaluate existing experiential learning platforms for usability and effectiveness.
- Research and promote emerging tools and platforms to expand experiential learning resources.
- Develop and implement promotional strategies to raise awareness and encourage usage of experiential learning tools and opportunities.
- Contribute to fostering an inclusive environment that encourages broad student participation in experiential learning opportunities across backgrounds.
- Bachelor’s Degree. 1 year of higher education programming or related field experience.
- Ability to create and deliver effective training and outreach presentations.
- Strong problem‑solving initiative and program development capabilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Strong customer service, interpersonal communication skills.
- Manage multiple projects and meet competing deadlines.
- Produce clear, timely reports and program evaluations.
- Interpret policy and apply state and federal regulations.
- Strong written communication, composition, and proofreading abilities.
- Standard office environment; sit for extended periods; repetitive motions (typing).
- Occasional high‑pressure periods due to deadlines and program cycles.
- Collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders.
