This is a Federal Work Study position at Norman Public Schools - Indian Education in Norman, OK.
Location: Norman Middle Schools, High Schools, and Indian Education Office
Math Tutor Duties- Provide math tutoring to students in grades 6th‑9th.
- Students: 4‑6 per day, 30‑minute increments, two times a week during the school day (8:30‑4:00).
- Complete orientation upon hire and begin tutoring thereafter.
- Receive training, tutoring resources, and administrative support as needed.
- Monitor student progress by recording progress reports for each tutoring session.
- Orientation to ensure comfort with curriculum and resources.
- Additional training throughout the semester, e.g., CPR/First Aid, child abuse reporting.

Required Education
:
- Currently enrolled in the Spring Semester as a student at the University of Oklahoma.
- Verification of current student status required.
- Background check performed by Norman Public Schools Indian Education.
- Attach ONE Spring 2026 class schedule
. - Must have received and accepted a Federal Work Study award for the Spring semester.
- Previous tutoring experience (preferred, not required).
- Fluently read, write, and speak in English.
- Enjoy working with children.
- Preferred degree in Mathematics or related major.
- Schedule flexibility to accommodate operational hours.
- Physical Abilities: bend, stoop, occasionally lift, and involve in physical activities.
