Responsibilities- Oversees daily circulation operations, including managing opening and closing procedures, circulation desk activities, and patron services across all service hours.
- Supervise and manage the circulation student workforce, including hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluation, and promoting a high standard of service.
- Develop staffing schedules and ensure consistent coverage across the library's hours of operation.
- Provide mentorship for student workers.
- Catalogs and classifies materials.
- Provide interlibrary loan services, including lending, borrowing, and document delivery.
- Supervise and manage the physical collection's upkeep, including stack maintenance, shelf-reading, shifting projects, and reserve collection.
- Coordinate loose-leaf filing, bindery functions, and microform maintenance.
- Develop guides to the library collection and research aids using the Lib Guides platform.
- Participate in collection development.
- Assist with content on the Law School's Digital Commons Repository and website.
- Provides reference and research services to library patrons, including answering questions at the public reference desk and responding to faculty and student requests submitted in person or via other forums, including email.
- Teaches in and/or provides support for the required first‑year legal research course as well as in other incidental teaching or training activities.
Bachelor's Degree.

- Knowledge of integrated library systems and services such as Ex Libris Alma or OCLC World Share.
- Proficiency in Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint, and possesses experience in using software, apps, or Internet services to develop, acquire, or deliver content.
- Physical:
Ability to engage in repetitive motions and sit for extended periods; ability to lift, bend, stoop, and carry; ability to climb stairs, step up on stools, and access overhead materials from library shelving. - Environmental:
Standard office environment with frequent exposure to deadlines and busy periods; occasional travel and interactions across campus and community stakeholders.
- A master's degree in Library Science, Library & Information Studies, or equivalent from an ALA-accredited library school OR experience working in a library setting as a library professional or paraprofessional.
- A Juris Doctor from an ABA accredited law school.
- One to two years of experience in a law library or law firm setting, performing legal research and/or providing legal reference.
- Knowledge of legal research methods and experience using legal resources including Westlaw, Lexis, Bloomberg Law or others.
