Job Description

The Environmental Specialist should have 3-5 years of relevant experience.

Preferred certifications include ASP, CSP, or COSHO.

Required knowledge includes RCRA, SWP3, PSM, Tier II, Form R, SPCC, Wastewater Discharge permitting, and compliance.

Educational requirements include a degree in Environmental Science or Occupational Health and Safety.

Environmental Specialist Responsibilities

Engage the entire workforce, both salaried and hourly, to foster cultural change and achieve environmental performance objectives and targets.

Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental regulations and corporate environmental systems; serve as the primary contact with regulatory agencies.

Conduct incident investigations for any adverse environmental impacts, focusing on root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and verification.

Provide effective training on all environmental programs, including SWP3 (Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan), SPCC (Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure), and RCRA (Resource Conservation and Recovery Act).
