Job Summary
- Processes accurate claims for reimbursement from Medicare, Commercial, and Government payers.
- Working of outstanding insurance claims for assigned physicians
- Review and submission of reconsiderations, corrections, and appeals as needed for claims
- Researching of insurance policies
- Answering of incoming billing calls-patient payments, patient questions, insurance calls
- Researching of patient accounts for refunds, balances and collections
- Updating of patient insurance information
- Submission of electronic claims
- High School or equivalent GED.
- Prefer 1 year of medical billing experience.
(Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience)
Compensation/Benefits- $14.86-$24.27/hr depending on previous work experience.
