Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma – Norman, OK, Monday‑Friday 7 am‑4 pm

Essential functions:

show up on time, prepared, perform tasks assigned, maintain a positive attitude, collaborate with teammates. Perform all tasks you are qualified for and over‑qualified as needed.

• Collect venous and urine specimens using vacutainer, butterfly devices, safety needles, and syringes.
• Pull patient orders from EPIC, accession patient information and tests into the Cerner system.
• Process all types of specimens collected.
• Communicate effectively and politely with internal and external customers.
• Show up for work on time, prepared, maintain a positive supportive attitude, work collaboratively with teammates.

• Proficiency in collecting blood specimens from all age groups, including pediatrics and geriatrics.
• Ability to handle high volume of patients in a timely manner.
• Ability to interact with all DLO departments and customers.
• Proficient in using multiple computer systems and keyboard.
• Flexibility to meet client needs by working additional days or outside regular hours when necessary.

• Lift 1‑26 lb regularly, 26‑40 lb occasionally; never lift >41 lb without assistance.
• Sit or stand for long periods; requires eye and hand coordination.
• Perform repetitive tasks with dominant hand continuously.
• Position may require travel.
• Extensive use of phone and PC.
• Fine dexterity, steadiness required.
• Talking, walking, balancing, bending/kneeling, pushing/pulling, reaching/twisting required.
