Salary Range: $13.50 To $14.00 Hourly
LINEN TECHNICIAN
Linen Technicians work throughout the hospital delivering clean linen, stocking assigned areas, collecting soiled linen, and building and moving linen carts. This is an active, physical position that requires frequent walking, standing, bending, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift. Linen Technicians work directly in the hospital environment and interact with hospital staff while providing dependable, timely linen service.
PURPOSE :
To provide quality service and products to our customers in a timely and professional manner.
JOB SUMMARY :
Responsible for filling and moving carts to assigned areas within the hospital. Provides a superior level of linen service throughout the hospital in a friendly and timely manner. Must meet quality and safety standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Be on time
- Have excellent attendance
- Follow all company safety rules
- Be able to work well with a diverse workforce
- Be able to follow directions given by their team lead and supervisor
- Follow all company policies and procedures
- Possess and maintain a positive attitude
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area in line with company policies
- Be able to work past the schedule, as transportation issues may arise
- Perform any other duties as manager/supervisor sees fit
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
Cross-train in other positions per facility needs
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
- Be able to stand on feet up to 12 hours a day
- Be able to push/pull soil/clean carts weighing up to 800 lbs. (on wheels)
- Sufficient manual dexterity to build linen carts
- Must be able to consistently meet physical requirements such as bending, twisting, and pulling
Must be able to accurately perform simple mathematics
