The Technology & Innovation Program Manager will drive forward the implementation of new AI-focused pilot programs, technology and innovation training (for law students, faculty and staff) and continuing legal education content (for OU Law alumni, the Oklahoma Bar Association, and national attorney networks). With a focus on emerging technologies, law student and legal practitioner training, and streamlined content and data management, this technology-forward position will be an integral professional along with the Law Library Director and the Director of Technology Innovation in scaling high-impact initiatives with key internal and external stakeholders.
Essential Duties
- Manages, coordinates, and develops programs and initiatives, particularly focusing on Digital Initiative (DI) activities, integrating emerging technology tools into legal education and practice.
- Provides direction and support for department programs and initiatives, including planning and executing training sessions, workshops, and educational events related to productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office) and innovative technologies (e.g., AI-enabled legal tools, VR/AR applications).
- Proactively addresses issues involving department programs, identifies new opportunities for technology integration, and develops initiatives to enhance student, faculty, and staff engagement.
- Develop a greater online presence for the DI through the OU Law Courtyard to provide more training videos and opportunities for law students and law faculty and staff to engage with technology and innovation training.
- In collaboration with staff and faculty, develop custom applications, AI, VR, AR, and other emerging technologies that bring value to the College of Law.
- Coordinates activities with department members, collaborating closely with the Center for Technology and Innovation in Practice (CTIP) staff, law faculty, guest speakers, alumni, professionals, and administrators for presentations and technology demonstrations.
- Establishes relationships with the outside community, local legal practitioners, technology vendors, and other departments on campus to support and promote DI objectives.
- Facilitates the involvement of community organizations and campus departments, securing sponsor ships and collaborative events.
- Prepares regular reports on activities and special reports evaluating DI community engagements, training effectiveness, and overall initiative performance.
- Assist faculty and administrative staff in leveraging data analytics tools and workflows, including dashboards or reporting mechanisms, to support institutional data needs.
- Performs tasks necessary for successful project management, including tracking timelines, budgets, grant proposals, and deliverables related to departmental and DI initiatives.
- Performs various tasks as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business or related field, AND:
- 24 months of administrative experience.
Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months of equivalent experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree for a total of 72 months of experience.

- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to build rapport quickly with diverse audiences.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
- Familiarity and keen interest in emerging technologies such as AI, VR, AR, and drones.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, and meet strict deadlines.
- Capable of interpreting policies, state, and federal regulations.
- Ability to effectively evaluate projects/programs and generate comprehensive reports.
- strong initiative, problem-solving skills, and organizational abilities.
- Experience in instructional design and integrating education technologies is highly desirable.
- Basic understand of data analytics and visualization tools.
- Demonstrated experience in creating and delivering training workshops, especially in technology or software.
Advertised Physical Requirements:
- Ability to engage in repetitive motions and sit for extended periods
- Standard office environment with frequent exposure to deadlines and busy periods; occasional travel and interactions across campus and community stakeholders.
Departmental Preferences:
- Juris Doctor degree or other Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Science, Project Management, Data Analytics, Instructional Design, or related areas.
- At least 4 years of experience in project management, technology training, or in product development.
- Industry recognized technology, project management, or process improvement certifications, such as Microsoft 365 Certifications, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH, CIPP, CAPM, PMP, PMI-ACP, Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt.
