Professional Oklahoma Educators (POE) is a nonunion, nonpartisan professional association serving all school personnel across Oklahoma. POE provides members with essential services such as legal support, professional development opportunities, professional liability insurance, and lobbying representation. With over 12,000 members statewide, POE is dedicated to supporting and empowering education professionals in their careers and communities.

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Communications, Marketing, and Events Director based in Norman, OK. The responsibilities include planning and managing events, overseeing communications strategies, coordinating marketing campaigns to enhance member engagement and organizational visibility, creating and managing budgets, maintaining relationships with stakeholders, and supporting sales initiatives to drive membership growth. The Director will ensure effective execution of programs that align with the mission of POE.

• Strong skills in Event Planning, Event Management, and Budgeting
• Exceptional Communication skills, including verbal, written, and interpersonal
• Experience in Sales and building relationships with diverse stakeholders
• Project management expertise and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency in marketing strategies, platforms, and tools to support organizational goals
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related field is preferred
• Previous experience in education‑related organizations or nonprofits is a plus
