Description:

The Operating Room Registered Nurse will work in a surgical setting. The nurse will be responsible for providing care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures. Surgeries include orthopedic, general, urology, gynecology, ENT, podiatry, and spine. The workload will involve collaboration with interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. The nurse will be expected to perform in all specialties and may float as needed.

Call is required approximately one shift every two weeks. No regularly scheduled weekends; volunteers will be utilized first, followed by a rotation if needed. Daily census is around 35 cases with an 8-room capacity. Special equipment includes 2 Davinci Robots. The nurse must comply with safety protocols, infection control, and universal protocol procedures. Skills in handling specific surgical procedures and equipment are essential.
